Lovely Handwoven Khadi and Linen

I finally downloaded some of my photos from Jaipur. Here is a gem of a shop in Jaipur that sells the most beautiful khadi and linen towels that are handwoven in Bengal. Everything in this shop is understated and elegant--and  expensive by Indian standards. I am considering selling towels like these, but they will be a bit pricey.

I'm still in Jaipur, India but Internet has been spotty and having difficulty downloading photos. We will be in Paris for a few days, one of my favorite places on the planet, on the way home. Maybe I will have more luck with photos there.

Shopping in Jaipur

India produces beautiful cotton fabrics. Here are a few examples of soft white cotton shirts and night dresses. Today I'm off to look at block printed textiles in traditional Mughal designs. I will take plenty of photos.

Jaipur is called "The Pink City" because of the color of the buildings. Traffic is always challenging with
rikshaws, motor bikes, cows, camels, and plenty of cars (and horn honking) and people all sharing the roads

Some pretty floral cottons
