Jaipur Shopping and Eating--My Two Favorite Sports

Lovely handwoven khadi towels colored with indigo

Cloud-like cotton voile kurta, perhaps a bit too sheer

My Cute husband outside the designer shop, Hot Pink, opened by Marie-Helene Taillac.  Located in the gardens of the heritage Hotel, Narain Niwas, the shop sells lovely Indian-designed fashion and home accessories.

I love the colors!

A kurta by Gitto made from chandari, a very sheer, cloud-like cotton and silk fabric

Another kurta from designer, Ritu Kumar

A kaftan from designers, Abraham and Thakore

Courtyard of the heritage hotel, Narain Niwas

My husband and our super driver, Shayam, from Happy Tours

A new block-printed quilt

Block-printed fabrics

 Old dhurrie rug--love the design

Block-printed quilted jackets

Tin-lined copper bowls and trays--very pretty
Block printing

Hand-stitched shawl in beautiful, bright colors

Antique ralli quilts made from old saris

Breakfast at our hotel was always a treat and always included Indian breads, fresh coconut and mint chutneys,  fresh pomegranite seeds, pineapple, and papaya with yogurt, and masala chai. Yum!
