Born in Seattle in 1927, textile designer and lifelong collector and champion of traditional and contemporary crafts, Jack Lenor Larsen. Trained as an architect, a weaver, and an artist, Larsen's textiles are  associated with Modernist architecture. In 1992 he built his East Hampton home, LongHouse, a 13,000 sq. ft home and art space set on 16 acres of gardens open to the public--
