Textile Love: Tivaevae Manu from the Cook Islands
The book on Cook Island tivaevae written by Lynnsay Rongokea
A tifaifai stamp
Years ago, I happened to buy a tivaevae, an appliqued bedcoverlet, at an estate sale in Honolulu. I didn't know what it was at the time, and only later learned that I had bought a tivaevae made in the Cook Islands. In Tahiti the bedcovers are similar and are called tifaifai.
