American painter / printmaker, Jennifer Bartlett grew up in the suburbs of Long Beach, California. She received her MFA from Yale in the 1960's where instructors included Jim Dine, Robert Rauschenberg, and Alex Katz --and fellow classmates Chuck Close, Richard Serra and Brice Marden. She is best known for her "house" paintings and her trademark style of colored dots on gridded steel and canvas.
