The artistic Giacometti's, from the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland, are the country's most famous family of artists. Father, Giovanni (1868 - 1933) was a painter,  his  famous sculptor son, Alberto (1901 - 1966), another son, Diego also a scuptor and designer, and son Bruno, a noted architect.
