Women and the Power of the Land

We have an active volcano on the island of Hawaii, and when the winds come from the south, we feel her affects even here on Oahu. The powerful goddess, Pele, is said to reside in the volcano. Some people say that they have seen the Great Goddess--in her fiery glory--and many Hawaiian still pay homage to her.
