Moroccan "Majorelle" Blue--Jardin Majorelle in Marrakesh

via Hapsical

The 12 acre botanical garden, Jardin Majorelle in Marrakesh created by French expat artist, Jacque Majorelle (he patented Majorelle Blue, the  vivid cobalt blue used in the gardens)--later owned by Yves Saint Laurent and his partner (his ashes are scattered in the garden)--discovered via The House in Marrakesh. I just finished reading The Caliph's House: A Year in Casablanca, a great read by Tahir Shah about his family's experiece remodeling a crumbling house in Casablanca-- there's also a video where he gives a tour of Dar Khalifa, his lovingly restored estate
