Ken Price--A Life Well Lived

ink and watercolor drawings via Ken Price

via LACMA

A resident of Venice Beach, California and Taos, New Mexico-- Ken Price (1935 - 2012), an American master of ceramics is best known for his otherworldly, organically-shaped blob-like sculptures. I am especially fond of these ink and watercolor drawings available from his website. There will be a retrospective of his work later this year designed by his longtime friend, Frank Gehry, at LACMA. To learn more, you can also visit the New York Times and LA Louver.
