 Artist, calligrapher, and textile designer, Aboubakar Fofana draws on ancient African and Japanese weaving and dying techniques to produce exquisite handspun organic cotton and linen textiles--the most beautiful indigo-dyed fabrics I've seen. African-born and raised in France, he is committed to preserving and revitalizing Mali's nearly lost tradition of natural indigo dyeing.
