British artist, John Piper (1903 - 1992) is best known for his paintings of landscapes and architecture, but he also created stained glass windows, textiles, stage sets, and ceramics. I am especially fond of his "Foliate Heads" inspired by the "Green Man" motif, a symbol of spring and rebirth.
